🇪🇸 Mendoza es una ciudad que invita a caminar tranquilamente por sus calles arboladas, entre acequias y amplias plazas. El centro gira alrededor de la Plaza Independencia, la más grande, rodeada por las plazas España, Italia, Chile y San Martín. La Plaza España, con sus cerámicas y detalles de inspiración española, es una de las más bonitas. La peatonal Sarmiento, la avenida San Martín y la calle Las Heras concentran buena parte de la actividad del centro, mientras que hacia el oeste se encuentra el Centro Cívico y el enorme Parque General San Martín, donde se puede subir al Cerro de la Gloria y disfrutar de sus espacios verdes.
El enoturismo en Mendoza es, sin duda, uno de sus grandes atractivos. La provincia ofrece distintas rutas del vino y es posible visitar bodegas, conocer sus viñedos, hacer degustaciones y disfrutar de excelentes restaurantes. Entre las zonas más conocidas se encuentran Luján de Cuyo y Maipú, donde hay bodegas tradicionales y otras más modernas que ofrecen visitas y almuerzos, algunas incluso con alojamiento. La experiencia de recorrer una bodega y sentarse a almorzar frente a los viñedos es, para mí, una de las mejores formas de conocer Mendoza.
Otra excursión que recomiendo especialmente es la Alta Montaña, un recorrido espectacular por la cordillera de los Andes. El camino pasa por Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca y el Parque Provincial Aconcagua, donde se puede acceder al mirador de la Laguna de Horcones. El recorrido continúa hasta Las Cuevas y, según la época del año y las condiciones del camino, puede llegar hasta el Cristo Redentor, cerca de la frontera con Chile. También se pueden hacer excursiones a Cacheuta, famosa por sus termas, y a Villavicencio, además de recorrer el Valle de Uco y Tupungato.
Mendoza tiene además una muy buena oferta de hoteles, desde establecimientos de lujo hasta opciones más económicas, y es una ciudad cómoda para recorrer a pie en su zona céntrica. El aeropuerto internacional Francisco Gabrielli, conocido como El Plumerillo, conecta la ciudad con distintos destinos y desde allí se pueden contratar traslados, alquilar un auto o comenzar distintas excursiones. Por todo lo que ofrece, Mendoza es un destino al que se puede dedicar desde unos pocos días para conocer la ciudad y sus alrededores hasta una estadía más larga para disfrutar con calma del vino, la gastronomía y la montaña.

The city center revolves around Plaza Independencia, the largest of the five main squares, surrounded by Plaza España, Plaza Italia, Plaza Chile and Plaza San Martín. Plaza España, with its colorful ceramics and Spanish-inspired details, is one of the prettiest. Sarmiento pedestrian street, San Martín Avenue and Las Heras Street are some of the main areas in the city center, while to the west you will find the Civic Center and the huge General San Martín Park, where you can visit Cerro de la Gloria and enjoy its green spaces.
Wine tourism in Mendoza is undoubtedly one of its main attractions. The province offers several wine routes, where you can visit wineries, explore vineyards, enjoy tastings and have lunch at excellent restaurants. Some of the best-known areas are Luján de Cuyo and Maipú, where you will find both traditional and modern wineries offering tours and lunches, and some even have accommodation. Visiting a winery and enjoying lunch overlooking the vineyards is, for me, one of the best ways to experience Mendoza.
Another excursion I highly recommend is the High Mountain tour, a spectacular journey through the Andes. The route passes through Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca and Aconcagua Provincial Park, where you can reach the Laguna de Horcones viewpoint. The journey continues to Las Cuevas and, depending on the season and road conditions, can reach Christ the Redeemer, near the Chilean border. You can also take excursions to Cacheuta, famous for its thermal baths, as well as Villavicencio, and explore the Uco Valley and Tupungato.
Mendoza also has an excellent range of hotels, from luxury properties to more affordable options, and the city center is easy to explore on foot. The Francisco Gabrielli International Airport, known as El Plumerillo, connects the city with several destinations, and from there you can arrange transfers, rent a car or join different excursions. With so much to offer, Mendoza can be enjoyed in just a few days to discover the city and its surroundings, or over a longer stay to fully enjoy its wine, gastronomy and mountains.

Das Zentrum wird von der Plaza Independencia, dem größten der fünf wichtigsten Plätze, geprägt und von der Plaza España, Plaza Italia, Plaza Chile und Plaza San Martín umgeben. Die Plaza España mit ihren farbenfrohen Keramiken und spanisch inspirierten Details gehört für mich zu den schönsten. Die Fußgängerzone Sarmiento, die Avenida San Martín und die Calle Las Heras gehören zu den wichtigsten Straßen im Zentrum. Im Westen befinden sich das Regierungsviertel und der weitläufige Parque General San Martín, in dem man den Cerro de la Gloria besuchen und die weitläufigen Grünanlagen genießen kann.
Der Weintourismus in Mendoza ist zweifellos eine der größten Attraktionen der Region. Es gibt verschiedene Weinstraßen, auf denen man Weingüter besuchen, Weinberge kennenlernen, Weinproben machen und in hervorragenden Restaurants essen kann. Zu den bekanntesten Weinregionen gehören Luján de Cuyo und Maipú. Dort findet man sowohl traditionelle als auch moderne Weingüter, die Führungen und Mittagessen anbieten und teilweise sogar Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten haben. Ein Weingut zu besuchen und anschließend mit Blick auf die Weinberge zu Mittag zu essen, gehört für mich zu den schönsten Möglichkeiten, Mendoza kennenzulernen.
Eine weitere empfehlenswerte Unternehmung ist der Ausflug ins Hochgebirge, eine beeindruckende Fahrt durch die Anden. Die Route führt unter anderem über Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca und den Parque Provincial Aconcagua, wo man zum Aussichtspunkt Laguna de Horcones gelangt. Anschließend geht es weiter nach Las Cuevas und je nach Jahreszeit und Straßenverhältnissen bis zum Cristo Redentor nahe der chilenischen Grenze. Auch Ausflüge nach Cacheuta, das für seine Thermalbäder bekannt ist, sowie nach Villavicencio und ins Valle de Uco und nach Tupungato sind möglich.
Mendoza verfügt außerdem über ein sehr gutes Hotelangebot, von luxuriösen Hotels bis hin zu günstigeren Unterkünften, und das Stadtzentrum lässt sich bequem zu Fuß erkunden. Der internationale Flughafen Francisco Gabrielli, besser bekannt als El Plumerillo, verbindet Mendoza mit verschiedenen Reisezielen. Von dort aus kann man Transfers organisieren, ein Auto mieten oder verschiedene Ausflüge buchen. Mendoza eignet sich sowohl für einen kurzen Aufenthalt, um die Stadt und ihre Umgebung kennenzulernen, als auch für eine längere Reise, bei der man Wein, Gastronomie und die beeindruckende Bergwelt ganz in Ruhe genießen kann.
